I've looked my everywhere for this and it's very hard info to come by so I thought let me share this info with you guys since the number of AMV artists is growing in here.
First off all there's no fast way to do this so it's rather simple but very time-consuming.
First off all you need to get these programs:
- Virtualdubmod (this is certainly not the normal virtualdub)
:: it's necessary to extract the video source and the audio source
- Lamedrop XP
:: to convert the OGG soundfile into an MP3 file for usage in premiere
- Virtualdub (the one and only)
:: to put everything back together
Ok let's get started:
1] First of all open your source OGM file into virtualdubmod.
2] Then go to "stream list". I can be found under "streams".
3] There you'll see the audio streams and video streams. Here you can select the language you want your file to be. Once you've clicked on the desired language click on "demux" and save the sound file in the desired directory.
4] Now go to "File" and choose "save as" and then save your videofile in the desired location.
5] Now open Lamedrop XP and drag the OGG file into the little window that pops up whe you open Lamedrop and let it convert your file into the MP3 format.
6] Now that you have everything You need to put everything back together for it to be complete. This is where Virtualdub regular comes into the picture.
7] But first convert the MP3 file into a WAV file it's higher quality.
8] Open up virtualdub and open the AVI file. Now go to the "Audio" menu and choose "WAV Audio..." and then select the WAV file you've created from the OGG File.
9] Now you're all set. All you need to do now is add the filters you desire or whatever and choose the compression filter and then save as AVI and voila!!!
Now you have succesfully converted an OGM file into a regular AVI file. and you're ready to watch your english or japanese avi file!
If there's a mistake in my tutorial feel free to contact me so i can correct it.
Enjoy!
