Cant we do something like request an activation of the account? Most of these are likely bots so that should filter them right off the bat.

No I mean have a mod have to manually activate the account. Our forums arnt exactly attracting thousands of new members every day so I would imagine it wouldnt be that much of a hastle to require the mods to activate the account for the new members.

So its either a bot or a prick either way they are spamming us hard now. I think its fair to ask for a lock down on registration until this blows over followed by a rethinking of how people can post, this is seriously pissing me off now.
